Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bulgaria, Dimitar Iliev and the director general of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA), Kiril Valchev, today presented the "Sportsman of the Balkans" award, which was won this year by Serbian tennis player Novak Djoković. The award is in the name of N. Djoković was received by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia, Željko Jović.

After the awards ceremony, in front of the gathered media from the whole region, Ambassador Jović thanked on behalf of Novak Djoković and the Djoković family, as well as on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the citizens of Serbia. Also, the ambassador thanked BTA and media representatives for their efforts, work and attention, which are focused on the promotion of sports, as one of the key prerequisites for the development of a healthy nation and the education of young people on the right values.
