In the company of Deputy Minister for Regional Development, Angelina Todorova Boneva, Ambassador Jović participated on 20.12. at the Conference "Europe in the Balkans: Common Future". The event itself was organized by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) and supported by the European Commission. During the Conference numerous topics related to regional cooperation, as well as the role and modalities of further, stronger and better engagement and presence of the EU in the Balkans were discussed.

In his address to the audience, Ambassador Jović emphasized the necessity of further development of road and other infrastructure, in order to provide citizens of the region not only a better life, but also the opportunity to travel and get to know each other, as a prerequisite for breaking certain prejudices and creating a basis for the further accelerated development of each individual Balkan state.

In this sense, the ambassador particularly emphasized the negative effects of the demographic fall and depopulation of the Balkans, and the importance of maintaining political and economic stability and maximum security of the entire region, as a prerequisite for retaining young people and returning the demographic scale to a positive level.

The ambassadors of the Republic of Bulgaria in Romania and North Macedonia, as well as numerous high-ranking officials of several ministries of the Republic of Bulgaria, took part in the Conference.
