On November 24, 2023, Ambassador Željko Jović met with the Minister of Innovation and Development of the Republic of Bulgaria, Milena Stojcheva. During the meeting, the ambassador presented the past successes of the Republic of Serbia in the field of digitization, innovation and development of science, and emphasized the firm commitment of the Republic of Serbia and its competent institutions to base their strategy of further development on a strong and dedicated engagement in the field of science, the development of innovative technologies and their connection with key spheres of society.

Minister Stojcheva expressed similar views and pointed to the activities of the Republic of Bulgaria and its ministry, and highlighted her personal initiative to organize a regional conference in Sofia in mid-February next year, at which the possibilities of establishing concrete cooperation in the mentioned areas would be considered, among related ministries and competent institutions of regional states, in order to create a stronger competitive ability of our region and opportunities for further, stronger and faster development.
