On November 11, 2023, at the Serbian Military Cemetery in Sofia, wreaths were laid to honor fallen Serbian heroes from the First World War and the Armistice Day the was marked.

The commemoration of Armistice Day and the laying of wreaths were attended by employees of the Embassy of Serbia in Sofia, representatives of Serbian citizens who live and work in Sofia, as well as members of the Society for Preserving Serbian Traditions from Nis. This year's commemoration of this important day was held without the presence of other representatives of the diplomatic corps, due to the commensing of work on the reconstruction of the cemetery and arrangement of the plot, done in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Veterans of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Also, on November 12, the state secretary of the aforementioned ministry, Dejan Antić, visited the cemetery with Ambassador Jović, paid homage to the fallen Serbian heroes, and got an insight into the ongoing reconstruction works.
