On October10 2023. representatives of delegations from the Republic of Serbia, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Miodrag Ivanović and Head of the Sector for Contemporary Creativity, Mladen Vesković held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Chavdar Georgiev and members of the Bulgarian delegation.

The Serbian side, in addition to the continuation of cooperation within the framework of the protection of cultural heritage, also proposed the intensification of cooperation in the areas of: Cinematography, through the incentive program for the production of audio-visual works, the Forum of Slavic Cultures, etc. They also proposed to intensify cooperation in the field of visual arts (exhibitions of contemporary artists) as well as in the field of combating illegal trade of art works. Two sides agreed that in the following period, a new proposal for the "Program of cultural cooperation“ between the two Ministry`s for the period 2023-2025 will be signed.

The aforementioned meeting was also attended by Amb. Z. Jović, who proposed several topics to the Bulgarian side, which could be realized by joint efforts by the end of this year.
