Ambassador Željko Jović attended the opening ceremony of the "Trebenishte" exhibition, which was held at the National Archaeological Museum in Sofia on October 9, 2023. year, on the occasion of marking the 105th anniversary of the Necropolis.The representatives of the National Museum of the Republic of Serbia, the Archaeological Museum of the Republic of Serbia and the National Archaeological Institute and Museum of the Republic of Bulgaria actively participated in the organization of the exhibition, which was held in the Republic of North Macedonia last year, and which will be held in the Republic of Serbia next year. The three parties signed an Agreement on the rental of exhibits, which are used at exhibitions in order to provide the opportunity for the citizens of their country to become familiar with exceptional historical and cultural values.

The exhibition was opened by the deputy Presdinet of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Jotova, and the director of the National Archaeological Institute and Museum of the Republic of Bulgaria, Hristo Popov, and the guests were addressed by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Krstyu Krstev, the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Julian Revalski, the Deputy Minister of Culture Republic of North Macedonia, Daim Luchi, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Miodrag Ivanović, Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Serbia, Bojana B. Brešković and Director of the Archaeological Museum in Skopje, Slavica Babamova.

In her address, I. Jotova thanked the scientists and museum experts for their efforts and dedication in order to realize the exhibition, and pointed out that it is proof of how good neighborly relations are built through science, and which are left to future generations, adding that "the world needs them lessons of the past to know how to build the future".

The event was attended by members of the Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Serbia delegations, numerous representatives from accredited Diplomatic corps in Bulgaria, representatives of scientific institutions of the Republic of Bulgaria, and on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia, the event was attended by the ambassador, Željko Jović and first counsellor Miodrag Sekulić.
