On September 23, ambassador Ž. Jović attended the "Gardens of the World" event, which was officially opened by the Mayor of Pazardzik, Todor Popov and the legendary Bulgarian football player, Hristo Stoichkov.

The project was implemented under the auspices of the Municipality of Pazardzik, the organization "Peace Run", the association "Touch the rainbow" and the association "Youth Sports Club Pazardzik", and carries a message of peace and solidarity. Also, the project aims to present the world's regions through trees, plants, etc. Each participating country is assigned a part in the "Freedom" park-island, on which, in addition to state symbols (flag and map), specific vegetation of that country is planted. Apart from the Republic of Serbia, the event was participated by Morocco, Greece, Georgia, Turkey, the Vatican, Italy, Palestine, Iraq and other countries.

After the official opening ceremony, the organizers and participants visited the "gardens" of all countries, and Amb. Z. Jović, together with the vice-president of the Nationa Assebmlz of the Republic of Bulgaria, R. Kirova, the Mayor of the city of Pazardzik, T. Popov and the football player, H. Stoičkov, opened the Serbian garden (which was planted with the logistical support of the Honorary Consuls, Mitko and Anastasia Solakov).
