On September 20, 2023, in the organization of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, the Regional Agency for the Development of Eastern Serbia - RARIS from Zaječar and the Rural Tourism Cluster "Magic of the East", a presentation of the tourist offer and potential of Eastern Serbia was held.

The presentation, which was held at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia, was attended by the director of the Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Serbia (BSMEPA), Bojko Takov, in addition to representatives of travel agencies from the Republic of Bulgaria. Also, the event was attended by numerous media, among others the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), which broadcasted a program on the tourist offer of Eastern Serbia in the evening edition of its daily news.

The event was opened by Ambassador Z. Jović, where he pointed out that tourism is a very important factor in international relations, especially when it comes to neighboring countries, like the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Bulgaria. In this regard, he added that a large number of Bulgarian tourists visit Serbia and vice versa, and that this is the best way "how the two peoples get to know each other even better". Amb. Jović added that it is expected that another border crossing (Kadibogaz, the passage between Belogradchik and Knjaževac) will be opened by 2025, which will contribute to the development of tourist and economic potential for the border regions.

After the presentation of the tourist offer of Eastern Serbia, the municipalities: Majdanpek, Kladovo, Negotin, Sokobanja, Knjaževac, Boljevac and the cities of Bor and Zaječar, series of bilateral meetings of representatives of the tourism industry of Eastern Serbia and travel agencies from Bulgaria were held, where they discussed the future cooperation.
