On July 22 Ambassador Jović and Defense attache, Lt. Col. Željko Simić, attended the traditional people's assembly at Kadibogaz, a pass between the Bulgarian Municipality of Belogradčik and the Serbian Municipality of Knjaževac. This assembly, in addition to its tourist significance for the entire region on both sides of the border, which inherits this tradition for almost 100 years, is, above all, important because every year it makes visible the bonds that grow between Serbian and Bulgarian citizens. On that day, a temporary border crossing opens and people move from one country to another without restrictions, enjoying good food, specific specialties of this region, products of folk handicrafts, folk music, songs and joy.

This year, at the ceremonial opening of the Parliament, the present citizens were addressed by Ambassador Jović, Deputy President of the Knjaževac Municipality Assembly, Igor Stevanović, Head of Vidin District, Ivo Atanasov and President of Belogradčik Municipality, Boris Nikolov. In his speech, Ambassador Jović highlighted the efforts made by both sides to open a permanent border crossing, Novo Korito - Salaš, in the following period.
