Ambassador Jović met with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ivan Shishkov, with whom he discussed the upcoming opening of the "Europa" highway section, which connects the city of Sofia and the Bulgarian-Serbian border. Announcing the release to traffic of the 7 km long section of the road between Dragoman and border crossing "Kalotina", Minister Shishkov sent an invitation to the Ambassador and representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to attend this event on April 13th.

Stating that "the more infrastructure facilities are built between Bulgaria and Serbia, the better for the two nations", Minister Shishkov pointed out that the entire Dragoman - Kalotina section will be open to traffic by the end of May this year, while the construction of the last section of the highway between Sofia and Slivnica was supposed to start in about 20 days and be finished by the end of 2024.

During the conversation, Minister Shishkov, informed the Ambassador that the extension of GP "Kalotina" is expected to be completed by the end of August this year.

Deputy Minister for Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Shushkov and director of the "Customs" Agency Pavel Gerensky also participated in the meeting.
