The International Agricultural Fair "AGRA 2023" held in the period February 21-25, in Plovdiv, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of the Republic of Bulgaria, was officially opened by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bulgaria, Javor Gechev. The opening ceremony of the fair was attended by numerous representatives from the accredited Diplomatic Corps in Bulgaria, as well as members of the delegations of the countries that exhibited products of their countries, and on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, the event was attended by Ambassador Željko Jović.

At the fair, 600 exhibitors from 25 countries presented the latest achievements in the field of agricultural production (including scientific approaches, practice, technologies, techniques, innovations, etc.), equipment and food products, and the products of viticulture and winemaking were also exhibited. The main focus was of the Fair was directed to modern technologies in agriculture, i.e. automation and digitization trends.

Amb. Jović, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Bulgaria, A. Solakova, visited the stands of the Serbian companies "Metal Inženjering" (production of equipment for the processing of frozen fruits and vegetables and for the chemical industry) from Ivanjica, and "Elixir Zorka" (production of mineral fertilizers) from Šabac, where he discussed the position of the aforementioned Serbian companies on the Bulgarian market, with the company directors.
