On the 16th of February, in the crowded hall of the "Mission" gallery of the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, the exhibition titled "Landscape or Inner Space" by prof. Dimitrije Pecić, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the  University of Arts in Belgrade, and prof. Svetozar Benchev, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National Academy of Arts. The exhibited artworks treat the theme of an imaginary landscape in different ways – as a scene bathed in warm light, or as a place of violent collisions between elements. The authors, who have known each other from before, are exhibiting together for the first time, as a gesture of friendship, exchange of ideas and the creation of a common cultural space.

Opening the exhibition, prof. Svilen Stefanov pointed out that prof. Pecić, one of the most prominent professors in Serbia, deals with letterpress printing. What you see, he said, may seem minimalist, but it is extremely complex and fine work. In my opinion, there is an exceptional school in Serbia in this respect, said prof. Stefanov.

The special guest was the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Željko Jović, who in his welcome address emphasized the importance of similar projects in the field of culture, which help us to further connect.

The director of the Institute, Snezana Joveva, reminded that the visit of prof. Pecić was realized as part of the "Balkan Dialogues" program, which was designed to enable artists from the region to assert themselves and communicate through their creativity.
