In the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, in the presence of Serbian citizens who live and work in Bulgaria and representatives of Bulgarian institutions and society (about 500 guests), a formal reception was held on the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia.

Beside the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ivan Demerdzhiev, Minister of Health, Asen Medzhidiyev, Minister of Economy and Industry, Nikola Stojanov, special guest was the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Jotova.

Ambassador Ž. Jović and Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria I. Jotova, addressed the present invitees with suitable speeches.

Among other invitees, the reception was attended by Vicar of Sofia and Bishop of Belograd, Polikarp, as well as presidents of numerous Bulgarian municipalities and directors of public companies.

At the reception, representatives of the tourism sector of Serbia, who are participating in the International Tourism Fair in Sofia, were also present with their products (primarily food and drinks, as well as part of the cultural and artistic program).
