Ambassador Jović met with the Bulgarian Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivan Demerdzhiev. During the meeting, current political and security events in the world and the region were discussed, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Ivan Demerdzhiev presented the current priorities of the work of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria, with special reference to engagement in the matter of combating illegal migration. Also the cooperation between the two Ministries so far was assessed as excellent.

In this regard, Demerdzhiev proposed that a bilateral meeting be held in the near future, where concrete agreements would be discussed and made regarding the coordination of further operational engagement of the two ministries at all levels.
