On December 14, 2022 at the National Library "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Sofia, the "Serbian Corner" was officially opened. The project was implemented at the initiative of the Embassy of Serbia in cooperation with the National Library. The National Library of Serbia (NBS) also participated in its implementation.

The project aims, through works of classical and contemporary literature to present to the readers the history, tradition and culture of the Republic of Serbia, and for this purpose various books are permanently exhibited and available to the public (about 35 titles, donation of the National Library of Serbia). In addition this, books in the Serbian language, which the National Library in Sofia already owns, were also exhibited at the event.

The corner was opened by the director of the National Library, Krasimira Aleksandrova, and Ambassador Željko Jović, and the ceremony was attended by Dobrila Begenišić, representative of the National Library of Serbia, Cenka Nikolova Ivanova, Dean of the University of Veliko Trnovo "St. Cyril and Methodius", Biljana Vasić, Serbian language lecturer at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", numerous members of the Serbian community whom reside in Bulgaria, students from the department of Serbian language at the Sofia University, and employees officials of the Embassy of  the Republic of Serbia in Sofia.
