The 9th International Youth Art and Dance Olympiad was held in Sofia, organized by the "Balkan Alliance", the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia, and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sofia.

The stated project aims to contribute to the development of international friendly relations between the countries of the Balkans, Europe and the Russian Federation, as well as to educate young generations in the light of cultural traditions. Young competitors from the Republic of Serbia, Romania and the Russia took part in the Olympics, performing 200 choreographies. Serbia was represented by the participants of the dance club "Ballerina" from Pančevo (15 participants), the dance club "Sportix" from Niš with 7 competitors and the ballet school "Marija Senćanski" also from Niš.

Ambassador Ž. Jović addressed the children and parents with a short speech, and after the end of the Olympics, he hosted the competitors at the Embassy premises.
