On November 11, 2022, at the Serbian Military Cemetery in Sofia, a commemoration ceremony was organized on the occasion of the Armistice Day in WWI. The ceremony and the laying of wreaths was attended by the highest representatives of the Army of the Republic of Bulgaria, military envoys accredited to the Republic of Bulgaria, representatives of the MFA of the Republic of Bulgaria, and a large number of members of the diplomatic corps and Serbian citizens who live and work in Bulgaria.

Ambassador Jović welcomed the present guests, thanked them for coming on this very important day for the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian people to honor "all Serbian victims and Serbian soldiers, who were killed and who died in the fight for freedom, for justice and for those values on which modern Europe rests today".

The ambassador reminded the audience that during that period, the Republic of Serbia went through terrible war destruction and suffering, and that during the war, around 1,300,000 people lost their lives, 1/3 of the total population, or 60% of the male population. As the ambassador further stated, "Our victims and all other victims of other nations, which we all had through difficult and complicated human history, are the reason that the main message today is that peace has no price".
