On the occasion of September 6, the Day of the Municipality of Babušnica, a solemn ceremony marking this holiday was organized in this town. On that occasion, the city's September monthly prizes were awarded, as well as certificates of appreciation to individuals and institutions. Ambassador Željko Jović was among the awardees, for his special contribution and assistance to Babušnica in the implementation of cross-border projects.

In his short address, Ambassador Jović thanked for the attention and honor shown, but also underlined that he was just doing his job. In this regard, the Ambassador pointed out that although his name is on the certificate, he accepts it with joy on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Minister N. Selaković and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As he further explained, these are the individuals and institutions who, with their example, diligence, determination, and some new rules and attitude towards work and the state, created an obligation for us in the state administration to be available 24 hours a day to the citizens of our country. Ambassador Jović promised that with his team at the Embassy of Serbia in Sofia, he will continue to be available to every individual and institution, with the desire to continue to progress and develop and create conditions for the well-being of the most vulnerable categories of our society.
