Today, Ambassador Jović attended the celebration of the Day of the Municipality of Montana. In addition to attending the ceremony on the main town square and participating in the solemn session of the municipal council, where he addressed the audience, the ambassador met with the mayor, Zlatko Živkov, but also with Rosica Kirov, vice president of the Bulgarian Parliament and several Bulgarian MPs from the north-west Bulgaria. On that occasion, the importance of building adequate road infrastructure as soon as possible was emphasized, which would (with the opening of new border crossings) help the recovery of border municipalities on both sides of the border.

Also, the importance of cross-border cooperation and the obligation of further joint engagement in that area was emphasized once again. In this regard, the interlocutors pointed out the professionalism and commitment to the implementation of cross-border projects (financed from EU funds), the Municipality of Pirot and the Municipality of Montana, which have successfully completed 12 projects to date.

Representatives of the Municipality of Pirot and the Municipality of Mediana from Niš also attended all manifestations.
