Today, Ambassador Jović met with Boris Nikolov, the Mayor of another Bulgarian municipality that gravitates towards Serbia and has excellent relations with Serbian border municipalities.

During the meeting, in regards to the great tourist potential of Belogradchik, the possibilities of improving cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed. Bearing in mind the traditional connections with the Serbian Municipality of Knjaževac, they also discussed the possible opening of another small border crossing, Novo Korito-Salaš, as well as the need to improve the road infrastructure. They agreed that this small town in northwestern Bulgaria, with its 5,000 inhabitants, could become a center for further development of Serbian-Bulgarian relations.
