Today, a promotion of healthy food and medicinal plants from the Niš region was organized at the Serbian Embassy in Sofia. Nebojša Stamenović from Niš, known for his specialties in a vast region, but also in the kitchen of the Hilandar Monastery, prepared several different specialties, exclusively of plant origin.

The guests had the opportunity to enjoy the tastes of wild nettles from Suva Planina Mountain, Lozan beans from the region of Gradishtan, which was prepared with more than ten different mountain plants, smoked cheeses filled with plants of Svrljig Mountains, as well as a special treat, a cake with currant and acacia flowers, also from the Mt. Suva Planina.

Ambassador Jović presented to the audience the tourist and other potentials of Niš and the Niš region, primarily in relation to nature and healthy food. The event was attended by the ambassadors of Bosnia and Hercegovina, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Cyprus, Switzerland, Morocco and Argentina, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Health of the Republic of Bulgaria, and several Serbian who live and work in Bulgaria.
