Ambassador Jović, as a personal guest of the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, Mr. Daniel Panov, along with Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms. Iliana Iotova, and other high ranking officials from the political and public life of Bulgaria, attended the celebration of the Day of the Town Veliko Tarnovo.

This city, which has twice been the capital throughout the history of the Bulgarian state, also preserves the memory of the Serbian great saint and educator, St. Sava, who died in 1236. and was buried in Veliko Tarnovo, after that, his remains were transferred to Serbia. The Church of the Holy 40 Great Martyrs, where St. Sava was buried, is still fulfilled with love and respect.
