Remembering the great sacrifices of the Serbian people in the fight for freedom, proud of their glorious ancestors, aware of everything they left us as a legacy, the Satehood Day was marked at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia.

Bearing in mind the epidemiological limitations in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Statehood Day of our state and people and all citizens of the Republic of Serbia, was marked by Ambassador Zeljko Jović and the staff of the Embassy without the usual guests (members of the diplomatic corps, politics and public figures). Anastasia Solakov, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria,  in Plovdiv and Mitko Solakov, candidate for Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria, in Blagoevgrad, also attended the celebration of the Statehood Day.

The Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia was an excellent occasion to emphasize once again not only the historical context of the development of the Serbian state, but also the fact that today the Republic of Serbia is a modern democracy, which respects human and minority rights, freedoms and diversity, and is strongly committed to good neighborliness and open dialogue and cooperation, making it a reliable and desirable partner in both regional and overall international relations. Also, Serbia is a country that has had accelerated economic growth for several years, a country that with its infrastructure and other projects, and a clear vision of where and how it wants, establishes a new reality, a reality that guarantees a better life and secure future for young people.
