     Today, in Sofia, Ambassador Željko Jović attended the Ministerial Conference on Demographic Resilience "Shaping the Europe’s Demographic Future, Pathways for Societies to thrive in a World of Rapid Demographic Change", organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which was opened by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev.
    The conference was attended by numerous representatives of state institutions, international organizations, the non-governmental sector, academic communities, primarily from European and Central Asian countries. From the Republic of Serbia, this conference was attended by a delegation of the Serbian Ministry of Family Care and Demography, led by the State Secretary, Ms. Milka M. Minić, as well as the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Brankica Janković.
      During the working sessions, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities that countries face in addressing demographic change, in order to reduce inequality, ensure sustainable growth and strengthen human capital. Also, the participants discussed the modalities of promoting gender equality and the introduction of gender-responsive family policies, the connection between demography and democracy in society, as well as initiatives related to the management of the aging process.
