On November 18th  2021, Ambassador Ž. Jović attended an online meeting on "How to revive economic relations after the COVID", which was attended by representatives of the BCCI, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Free Zone Pirot, Ambassador of Bulgaria in Serbia, P. Dojkov, and representatives of companies from the two countries
Ambassador Jović pointed out that this event "is both a great responsibility and a professional challenge." In that regard, he reminded that two countries, Serbia and Bulgaria, have a special, strategic segment of diplomacy, the so-called economic diplomacy. In that sense, he mentioned that the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia has a professional staff that is able to answer to the all issues in the field of economy. The Ambassador underlined the readiness of the Serbian Embassy to actively participate in all economic processes between the two countries, as well as the readiness to answer upon questions and suggestions of interested companies and persons.
Ambassador emphasized the importance of such events, but also reminded of his previous views "that we must not stay on the organization of one or more events without insisting on concretization, acceleration of existing projects and creation of new ones, with the ultimate goal of benefits for economies of both countries.” In this regard, the ambassador pointed out that for him the question is not "how we will revive our economic cooperation after the Covid-19 pandemic", because it is unknown when the current crisis will end, but "what can we do today and how can we prepare for a possible, even deeper and longer crisis."
At the end, the Ambassador Jović pointed out the negative consequences of the Decision of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria, which is in force since September 15, and which completely bans the entry of Serbian citizens into Bulgaria, causing the greatest damage to the economy. In this regard, the Ambassador asked the Bulgarian Ambassador to Serbia, P. Dojkov, and the President of the BCCI, T. Simeonov, to appeal to their institutions in accordance with their capabilities, in order to mitigate the very strict measure.
