On November 5, 2021, Ambassador Željko Jović attended a meeting, organized by BADIC, and met with the representatives of Bulgarian companies (small and medium enterprises), which are related to the field of defense industry.

              Ambassador Ž. Jović acquainted the attendees with the current business climate in the Republic of Serbia, and with the current legal regulations and all potential benefits, which can help foreign investors to choose our country within their business concepts. The Ambassador especially pointed out the results in the field of road and other infrastructure development, as a precondition for further investments and even faster economic growth. In that context, he presented the rate of Serbian GDP over the past few years, as well as the estimated level of GDP at the end of this year (around 7.5%), and international assessments of credit ratings and other indicators of the success of the Serbian economy. In order to mitigate very strict anti-epidemiological measures (complete ban on Serbian citizens entering Bulgaria), the Ambassador requested the support of the Association, and pointed out the openness and readiness of the Embassy to, within its competencies and capabilities, provide assistance for interested Bulgarian companies to cooperate with Serbian companies.
             The meeting was attended by 13 representatives of Bulgarian business entities, with whom individual meetings were held, during which their products and services were presented, and from our side, once again, pointed out everything that makes Serbia a good business destination. The companies were primarily from the domain of production and distribution of consumer goods, mechanical industry, military equipment, aeronautical engineering (aircraft production), as well as solar energy.
