On October 14, Ambassador Željko Jović met with the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Maria Belkolev. On that occasion, the possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism and continuing engagement in the implementation of current cross-border projects were discussed. In regards to that, it was agreed to organize a meeting between the ministries of the two countries in the forthcoming period, and a work meeting between Serbian and Bulgarian tour operators.
Considering that the current epidemiological situation caused that the Republic of Serbia is marked as "red zone", and that a measure was introduced, banning the entry of citizens from the Republic of Serbia into Bulgaria, a request for support was requested from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria to enable entry of citizens arriving from Serbia into Bulgaria, with the fulfillment of certain conditions (vaccine, PCR, etc.).
During the meeting, the current cooperation in the field of cross-border programs of the two countries was positively assessed, and it was agreed to jointly intensify the engagement in the coming period, in order to implement current projects, which will mostly contribute to the development of local self-governments.
