Ambassador Ž. Jović attended and made a speech at the ceremonial marking and scientific session dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, of which the Republic of Serbia is an associate member. 
On this occasion, the 65th anniversary of the membership of the Bulgarian Institute for Nuclear Research in this organization was also marked (the Bulgarian Institute is part of the BAN, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences). Ambassador Ž. Jović especially emphasized the significant role of science in the successful development of each country, as well as in the life of each person individually. In that sense, he pointed out the readiness of Republic of Serbia to continue to contribute with its scientific potential to the development and well-being of the entire humanity.
Dimitri V. Kanain, Head of International Cooperation of JINR, informed Ambassador Ž. Jović that Republic of Serbia, as an associate member, is highly valued, and its admission to full membership is expected in the near future.
