On June 25, 2021, Ambassador Željko Jović attended the solemn celebration of the municipal holiday of Elin Pelina, "Shopski praznik". Addressing the audience, he thanked for the cooperation and professionalism, which resulted to the completion of the cross-border project realized by the twinned Serbian municipality of Leskovac and Bulgarian municipality of Elin Pelin. The event was also attended by the delegation from Leskovac, led by Mayor Goran Cvetanović.
