On June 8, 2021, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and the Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Bulgaria (BSMEPA), a working meeting of the "Serbian-Bulgarian Business Forum" was held. The meeting, which was held at the Embassy, was opened by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria, Kalina Konstantinova, Director of BSMEPA Boyko Takov, Director of the Planning and Analysis Sector of the Development Agency of Serbia (RAS) Vladimir Jovanović, Director of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Nisava, Pirot and Toplica Administrative Districts (PKS) Aleksandar Milićević and Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria Željko Jović.

Representatives of the Bulgarian Investment Agency and the Development Agency of Serbia presented the current business climate in Serbia and Bulgaria, modalities for economic development, as well as investment opportunities in the two countries. The meeting was attended by about 40 representatives of business entities from Serbia and Bulgaria, who, after the plenary session, held individual (B2B) meetings and exchanged information of mutual interest, in order to achieve possible future business cooperation. The structure of the companies was primarily in the domain of IT technologies, production and distribution of medical and laboratory equipment, machine industry, textile and food production sector, as well as energy.
