During the conversation with the Mayor of the Municipality of Vidin, Cvetan Cenkov, the possibilities of renewing cross-border cooperation between the two countries were discussed. C. Cenkov pointed out the need to strengthen contacts between economic entities in Vidin and the border region of Serbia, in order to overcome the economic consequences of the crisis caused by the Covid pandemic in the shortest possible time19. In this regard, the Mayor of Vidin mentioned that in previous years the annual trade fair was held in that city, which was attended not only by traders from Bulgaria, but also from neighboring countries, and that the Municipality plans to support the tradition with the support of chambers of commerce and agencies. He is organizing the International Trade Fair in Vidin again at the end of August this year. In addition, C. Cvetanov pointed out the upcoming events in the cultural program of the municipality of Vidin, inviting participants from Serbia to join them.
At the end of the talks, the possibility of holding a regional economic forum on July 14 was discussed, which would be attended by the mayors of Negotin, Zaječar and Calafat, regional leaders (regional mayors) and the ambassadors of Serbia and Romania.
