On April 12, 2021 His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received in the Serbian Patriarchate, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Željko Jović. On that occasion, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije pointed out that he was glad that the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, led by Patriarch Neophyte, was cultivating good relations with the diplomatic representative of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria. Ambassador Jovic informed the Serbian Patriarch about the current situation in Bulgaria and emphasized that he is making great efforts to establish stronger and closer relations between the two close nations on the basis of mutual trust and respect.
