Printer Friendly Version Award ceremony of the largest Balkan wine competition in Sofia @ 21 September 2020 03:06 PM

On September 17, 2020, at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, during the opening of the Balkan Wine Festival, "The Balkans International Wine Competition BIWC 2020", the award ceremony for the best wine was held. Over 230 participants from the Republic of Bulgaria and  neighboring countries took part in the competition. The greatest success (main prize) was achieved by the Aleksandrović winery, winning the title of "Grand Trophy" for the best wine in the Balkans. Also, the Radlović winery won the award for the best red wine "Cabernet Sauvignon 2017", while the wine "Tri Morave reserve white 2017" from the Temet winery won the award in the category of macerated and orange wines. The Ambassador Zeljko Jovic, presented the awards to the winemakers from Serbia, while the "Grand Trophy" award was presented to Bozidar Alexandrovic by Lausanne Vasilev, the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
