On June 1, 2020, in Sofia, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria, where he, after the official welcoming ceremony, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of  Bulgaria Boyko Borisov. The officials visited the ongoing works on the construction of the highway, route from Sofia to the border crossing with the Republic of Serbia, part of the traffic corridor X, and the construction works on the section of the "Balkan Stream" gas pipeline in Letnica. President A. Vučić pointed out that both projects are essential for the economic growth of the two countries. Ambassador Zeljko Jovic also attended the visit.
